Redefining platform user experience for recruiters.
-
20% Speed Increase: The time required to move candidates through the hiring pipeline was reduced by 20%.
-
Elimination of Manual Tracking: Successfully migrated recruitment teams away from 100% of their legacy Excel/Google Sheet dependencies.
-
Improved Stakeholder Transparency: Real-time access for hiring companies significantly reduced manual reporting hours for the recruitment team.
Problem definition
-
Information Silos: Candidate data was buried in thousands of unorganized emails.
-
Pipeline Blindness: There was no visual or clear path to track where a candidate stood in the hiring journey.
-
Inefficient Communication: Stakeholders and hiring companies lacked real-time visibility, leading to constant manual status updates.
-
High Operational Friction: The “hustle” of managing manual entries increased the risk of losing top talent to slower response times.
Approach and solution
The solution was rooted in a collaborative, user-centered design process to ensure the new platform solved real-world friction.
-
Discovery & Workshops: We initiated the project with workshop sessions to map out the ideal recruitment flow and draft initial low-fidelity wireframes.
-
User Research & Interviews: I conducted one-on-one interviews with the primary users (recruiters) to identify specific “deal-breaker” pain points in their daily workflow.
-
Stakeholder Alignment: Interviews with stakeholders helped define the business requirements, specifically the need for external company accounts to view hiring progress.
-
Iterative Wireframing: We moved into a dedicated wireframing phase, characterized by multiple “back-and-forth” feedback rounds. This ensured that the transition from spreadsheet-based work to a digital platform felt intuitive rather than overwhelming.
